That’s us, Ali, Leanne & Grahame, the full-time professional photographer family that are GWS photography!

We work together on every shoot, ensuring that everyone we meet is given the greatest care, the nicest coffee and of course… amazing photos!

Grahame has been taking photos since, well, forever! He started off shooting bands and weddings back in the 80s, and we finally got serious and started GWS photography in 2010.

Since then time has flown by. We love meeting new people, getting to know them, and creating them something really special. It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning!

At GWS, being “good” isn’t just about taking nice pictures — it’s about giving every family the best possible experience. Between us, we’ve won over 20 national awards for photography and client care, and Grahame holds Fellowship level, the highest professional qualification in portraiture. He’s even judged national competitions and mentored photographers across the UK. Leanne is a qualified professional in her own right, and Allison brings the warmth and fun that makes our sessions feel effortless.

Incredible experience. We had a bump to baby photoshoot with Leanne and she was amazing! So lovely, sweet, tentative and professional. During our bump shoot she made us feel so comfortable and was so good with our excited 4 year old.

I can’t thank Leanne enough for the beautiful photos of my 5 week old baby girl. She was absolutely amazing with her, so calm and patient with my little girl, I even learnt a few tips from her myself. Grahame even travelled to meet me closer to home to deliver my photos which was a great help, I appreciate them going over and above.

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked for a family photo shoot . We were greeted at the door by Grahame and from then on had a really great shoot. Kids relaxed and Grahame managed to capture some really great natural happy smiles. Kids thought of the shoot as a great day out rather than a chore of getting photos taken. Graeme and Ali both absolutely brilliant.

Amazing from start to finish! Grahame did our wedding photos back in 2019 and then the lovely Leanne did a shoot with our twins and even managed to get a family shot of us too. Very relaxed, personal and the viewing afterwards is such a special touch. We are back at the end of the year for a cake smash shoot!

Fantastic experience with Grahame and Ali. I unfortunately had to reschedule my appointment for my dog’s photoshoot twice- they could not have been more understanding! The communication was always excellent- via text and email. On the shoot day they were brilliant with my dog who can be stand offish and wary of strangers- they greeted her with such excitement she was immediately at ease.

Grahame and Ali were so friendly and amazing at getting our 9 month old to relax and got some amazing photos that we'll cherish. It was a very thorough photo shoot and was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. They also managed to get me and my partner to get some decent shots which was a miracle given our preference to stay behind the camera!
