The best age ranges for baby shoots are:
Maternity – 30 + weeks – whenever bump is big 🙂
Newborn – First two to six weeks for perfect, sleepy newborns, but it’s also still very beautiful up to 3 months old.
Baby – 4 months to 7 months. More awake, but those lovely first smiles !
Sitter-Uppers – Around 7-10 months on (or when your child is self-supporting and sitting up)
1 year old – Cake Smash or paint party !

But BOOK NOW ! It’s best not to wait until baby is here for newborns as we run one of the busiest (and best) baby studios in the country and we very often book out 3-6 weeks ahead and you might miss out.
We will reschedule for free if baby is late or early.
* Can me and my partner and older kids be in a few photos ?
YES ! Absolutely ! We love including mummy & daddy and siblings
* What’s it cost ? What are the packages ?
It’s only £35 to reserve your space in the diary and then you buy what you want from our amazing range of products. Our average baby client spends around £450 and we have goodies from £120. As well as the basic digital packages that you get everywhere – starting at £395, and we also have the best range of display products in the country and our clients LOVE to browse at all the goodies in the studio.
* Can we have the photos taken in our home ?
No, something as special as this need to be treated properly. Why stay at home when you can be looked after for two hours by our team, and the shoot experience itself becomes something so special – you WILL want to come back again.
It’s like the difference between getting a chippy tea, or eating at a fancy restaurant on those special occasions.
* Where are you, are you in Edinburgh ?
The studio is just outside Edinburgh. We have chosen the most perfect spot to be away from the stress of city parking and traffic… where you can ease along the A1 in 10-15 minutes and park right at our door – all day – for free.
Our studio is perfect for Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife.
Our baby photographer Leanne comes in from the middle of Edinburgh every day and she knows it is so much easier doing that , than it is trying to navigate busy streets, roadworks and parking in the town.
Grahame & Allison travel in from Dunbar every day and like Leanne the journey is a breeze. Compare that with navigating through city centre traffic.
What’s the process ?
Let’s chat and sort out an initial date based on when baby is due – or book online picking a date 5-10 days after due date
Once baby arrives let us know and we can keep the original date or re-schedule to suit. Totally stress free.
Come for your shoot… chill out in the studio, let us pamper you while we create some photo magic !
Come back about a week later for the BIG screen photo viewing and ordering session. Bring the grannies. Tissues supplied 🙂
