We’ll help you pick a time that suits your family. If you would like a free bump shoot too we will chat with you to get that in the diary too. It’s great to be able to see your whole story over the two shoots. And we will include the bump shoot with your chosen package.

We’ll call to chat about what to bring, what to expect – and we’ll also post out our studio magazine. Then on the day of the shoot – no rush, plenty of time to relax on our big comfy sofas and chill with snacks and drinks provided.

Bringing your baby to the studio should feel exciting, not stressful. We’ve photographed over 600 newborns and babies, and our team is fully trained to keep your little one comfortable and safe throughout. You can sit back, enjoy a coffee, and know you’re in experienced hands.

Our studio is designed to be warm, relaxed, and family-friendly — a space where you can slow down, enjoy the experience, and let us take care of everything.
Maternity – 30 + weeks – whenever bump is big 🙂
Newborn – First two to six weeks for perfect, sleepy newborns, but it’s also still very beautiful up to 3 months old.
Baby – 4 months to 7 months. More awake, but those lovely first smiles!
Sitter Sessions – Around 7-10 months on (or when your child is self-supporting and sitting up)
1 year old – Cake Smash or paint party !

It’s best to book before baby arrives — we’re one of the busiest baby studios in Scotland and often book 3–6 weeks ahead. If baby is early or late, we’ll reschedule for free.
Can me and my partner and older kids be in a few photos?
Absolutely — we love including parents and siblings. Some of the most popular images chosen are the family ones.
Can we bring the family dog ?
If your dog is well behaved enough – yes. But sometimes it’s best to wait until sitter session with doggy that is amazing and will give you the complete family set of photos. Your baby sitting up with doggy gives amazing results.
What about packages?
We are very much one of the best studios in the country for the choice of ways to have your photos. We have ready made packages from £249 and wall products from £149.
Where are you based?
Our studio is just outside Edinburgh, on farmland with easy access from the A1. You’ll avoid city traffic and parking stress — just drive up, park right at the door (for free, all day), and relax. Perfect for families from Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife.
What if my baby doesn’t settle?
That’s normal! We allow plenty of time, take breaks whenever needed, and never rush. A relaxed baby makes for the best photos — and we’ve got the patience of saints.
Is my baby safe?
Absolutely. We’ve photographed over 600 babies and our amazing baby photographer Leanne has the nickname of “The Baby Whisperer” !
