Enjoy a calm, fully guided newborn session with experienced professional photographers in our beautiful countryside studio just outside Edinburgh.

We completely understand that some parents are surprised by the £20 reservation fee and wonder if there’s a catch — especially when searching for newborn photography online.
The simple answer is no. No catch what so ever.
In partnership with Your Baby Club, this special introductory offer is designed to give new parents the chance to properly experience GWS Photography – one of the best studios in the country without a large upfront cost.
We’ve photographed hundreds of babies over the years and our studio has won more than 20 national photography awards across baby, family and portrait photography.
Your session will be relaxed, fully guided and carried out by experienced professional photographers, with plenty of time, patience and care throughout.
There’s no obligation to spend anymore unless you REALLY love the photos… so for the price of you and your partner going for a coffee at Starbucks it’s cheaper to try out GWS Photography and you will still get teas, coffees, chocolates and buns thrown in.

Right now – just use this diary to choose a baby session space in our diary – if baby isn’t here yet – choose a date around 14 days after due date.
We’ll get in touch and give you all the info. If baby arrives late – or early – don’t worry – we’ll reschedule for free for you.
We will contact you to see if you want to add in a free bump session – and chat about the baby session.
We’ll call to chat about what to bring, what to expect – and we’ll also post out our studio magazine. Then on the day of the shoot – no rush, plenty of time to relax on our big comfy sofas and chill with snacks and drinks provided.

Our award winning studio team will have you super relaxed and loving every minute of your time with us. Our studio was chosen to be the most peaceful place to come for photos – just outside Edinburgh in converted farm buildings.
What happens after the photo session ?
We’ll invite you back for an emotional big screen viewing where you get to choose your prints – and add on any other products – digitals, frames, books etc. All with absolutely no obligation. Our prices are the same as every other professional baby studio – but the service, experience and staff are better than anywhere else you could go !.

GWS Photography have been running studio portraits for over 16 years, and have more than 20 National Awards. All our photographers are trained and qualified – and Leanne (our amazing baby whisperer) has worked with over 600 babies and has also been trained in baby First Aid.

About The Session
Our newborn sessions take place in our dedicated portrait studio just outside Edinburgh.
We don’t travel to homes — everything is photographed here in the studio, where we have controlled lighting, warmth and everything prepared safely for new babies.
Sessions are calm, unhurried and designed entirely around your baby’s comfort.
Partners and other children are welcome to attend and be included.
