1️⃣ How much does a family photo session cost?
Booking is £35 and includes your time in the studio. After your shoot, you’ll choose the photographs you love most — no pressure, no packages in advance. Most families spend between £395 and £1,295 on finished pieces for their home.
You can choose from a beautiful framed piece, a Story Set in our Treasure Box, or a Statement Story Wall Wow (which includes all the digitals). You only decide once you’ve seen everything on our big screen — so you’re always in control.
2️⃣ Do we get digital copies of our photos?
Yes. All our main collections include your photographs as digital files on our Quantum Card & App, so you have both the physical and digital versions.
If you prefer a digital-only option, that’s available too, but most families love having something they can actually see and enjoy every day at home. It’s the best of both worlds — beautifully printed pieces for your wall, and the digital convenience to share with family and friends.
3️⃣ What happens during the photo session?
Your session is relaxed and fun — it’s built around your family, not the camera. We’ll guide you gently when needed, but most of the best images happen naturally as you interact, laugh and play.
Sessions usually last around an hour, with time for little breaks if needed. Whether it’s a baby giggling, a pet running in, or a full family cuddle, that’s the energy we love to capture — real life, not stiff posing.
4️⃣ What should we wear for our family photos?
Keep it simple and comfortable. Soft tones, layers, and textures photograph beautifully. Avoid big logos or busy patterns that distract from faces.
We recommend choosing outfits that suit your home’s style — these portraits are designed to be displayed there, after all. Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you a quick prep guide with colour ideas and examples so you can plan easily.
5️⃣ Can we include grandparents, pets, or extended family?
Absolutely — those sessions are often our favourites. Multi-generation shoots tell a much richer story and become family treasures in years to come.
Just let us know who’s coming so we can plan the flow of the shoot. There’s no extra charge unless we need to extend the time, and we’re always happy to include pets — they’re family too. (Pets not allowed at newborn for health & safety)
6️⃣ What if we only want a few photos?
That’s completely fine. Some families come in wanting a single standout frame or just a small Story Set. The process is the same — we photograph everything, show you all the best images, and you choose only what you love.
It’s about creating the right result for your home, whether that’s one beautiful piece or a small selection that fits perfectly together.
7️⃣ What if we don’t like the photos?
If you’re not completely happy, you don’t buy anything — it’s that simple.
Your £35 booking fee covers our time to plan and photograph your session, but you’re under no obligation to spend a penny more unless you truly love what you see.
We’re confident you will, but we call it our Family Story Guarantee — if the images don’t feel right, we’ll happily reshoot or refund your booking.
8️⃣ When do we see the photos?
We usually invite you back to the studio about a week after your shoot for your viewing appointment. You’ll sit back with a coffee, watch your images come to life on our big screen, and we’ll guide you through designing your frame, Story Set or Wall Wow.
It’s one of the best parts of the experience — seeing your family properly, and deciding how you want to display it at home.
9️⃣ How long do products take to arrive?
Most finished pieces are ready within 2–4 weeks, depending on size and style. Every product is hand-finished by trusted UK suppliers and carefully quality-checked before collection or delivery.
Wall art and Treasure Boxes take a little longer due to custom production, while Quantum Cards and digitals are usually ready sooner. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process so there are no surprises.
🔟 What is the Quantum Club and how do we join?
The Quantum Club is our way of thanking families who’ve chosen one of our main collections — a large wall art or Treasure Box with the Quantum Card digital set.
It’s for clients who’ve already experienced what we do and want to keep their story growing without the worry of a big spend every time.
As a member, you’ll be able to return for smaller “Story Sessions” at a special rate, continuing to build your family’s collection as life moves on. It’s our way of saying thank you and helping your story keep unfolding.
