Victoria & David's wedding at Carberry Tower

09th July 2016
Yip , 2nd day in a row at Carberry - and why not it's a fabulous venue and lots of lovely couples book me for there so I'm delighted :)

Yeah, so anyway , I arrived on site a bit early as per usual, super excited to get going and check out how the rooms & grounds were set up.

As I mentioned on the previous Blog, I bumped into the gang from Friday's wedding, and we had a good catch up - it's been hours since we last saw each other :)

So on with today's show, and I popped up to see the girls and see how calm they were - and they were all hunky-dory. Even the guys were along the corridor getting ready on time and everyone seemed fine.

I spent the first hour or so darting between the girls in their room... the groomsmen along the corridor, and the gardens/inside rooms - checking weather.
After the previous day's monsoon conditions, I put all my brollies into the Ceilidh Hall. If there was a sure fire way to stop rain (at least for that part of the day) it was to be super prepared for it.

And right enough, we got all the way through the ceremony and family shots in lovely Scottish summer weather.

But then...

... Yeah , we kinda knew rain could be heading our way, and with the last click of the camera during the family photos outside, there were very dark clouds zooming in...

So before it was too late, I sent our newly weds across the lawn to wait for me while I dug out my big flash gun from the car - big bertha. (that's the name of the flash, not the car - I'm not that daft as to give my car a name).
We got the first frame in and you can see from the pictures the skies just went black.... and it started.
Will was on point though and had spotted the danger and was heading our way with two brollies (thanks Will , not one for me :) ).

We bagged a few pictures in the rain across at the bridge/pond, before getting our lovely couple inside to dry & safe conditions.

Under no panic, we made use of the inside rooms as per usual at Carberry, and Victoria & David nailed a good few shots for me, before we did some more fun friends sets and then chased everyone in for dinner.

The evening soon caught up with us and the band were set up and ready to go... there was a great vibe to the night time party too as I stalked the evening guests, Fuji camera in hand before dragging our happy couple outside for a last photo on their own before I left them to party on.

A great day as always at Carberry. All staff were on point, and big hugs to Amy and a get well soon from everyone at GWS and Victoria & David's wedding.

The full Gallery of photos can be viewed here, where you can order as many copies as you like :)

So, here's to Victoria & David.... Mr & Mrs Munn !
