UnPosed Wedding Photography

22nd December 2015
Everyone that knows our wedding photography, knows I love to stick up a big flash gun and bring out nice big dramatic skies and really show off the location of a wedding, or have a beautiful bride casually looking out a window...

... but just as important to us (and our couples) are the candid moments, or the bits of the day that we just capture while staying out the way.

Sometimes it's a look, a show of emotion, a smile or a tear a funny mis-hap. It is actually a skill that takes practise getting lots of good candid shots.
That might sound counter-intuitive, but you have to practise hard at reading people and anticipating what is about to happen.

I'll always drum into Annie at a wedding where there are lots of kids "watch them as at least one of them will do something funny". Sometimes you just see a chain of events about to unfold and the cameras have to be ready.
You have to be able to use your cameras quickly or possibly miss something special.

So, since 2015 is about to expire, I'd like to recap our whole wedding photography journey for the last 12 months with a few candid or at least "unposed" moments from every wedding we were at.

I look at these now and can't believe they stretch back to January. They all seem like they were just a month ago !
Hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed shooting them !
