Top Wedding Venues in East Lothian

16th September 2014
Every week is a different wedding, but sometimes we're shooting our wedding photography at the same venue a few times in a year, sometimes just once.

Last year I was never away from The Glen Golf Club - so much so that I was offered a locker !
Not been there once this year at all, but have been at Carberry Tower a few times instead.

So here's a small review of 3 of my favourite locations with a small slideshow of each.
I'll do another blog like this in a week or two.

In the meantime, if you are planning a wedding, why not drop me an email saying where your having your day, and if I've shot there I can give you some thoughts on the photography ideas for the venue.
You might even want to book us to do the photography too. Well, you're the sensible type, I can tell :)
Links to each location's own website are at the bottom of this blog.

Broxmouth Park

A classic mansion house with large and interesting grounds. Steeped in history from Oliver Cromwell's attack on the Scots in 1650. The house is amazing, and if you plan your wedding here with time to wander the huge grounds, you will get some amazing photographs.
The staff at Broxmouth are very professional and will do everything possible to ensure you and your guests enjoy every second of your time there.

Dunglass Estate

Dunglass is nearer Cockburnspath, technically Berwickshire, and is another very interesting venue with character and history.
The wedding ceremonies take place in the old Collegiate Church and the reception in a very large marquee with great space and dance floor.
There is usually use of the manor house too, with most couples staying a full weekend to make the most of their friends & family being around.

Archerfield House

Wow , this place is amazing. Very much like Broxmouth. Archerfield is set in massive grounds, with large wooden lodges and an amazing waterside evening venue with views across The Firth of Forth.
The house that hosts the ceremonies is your typical fantastic mansion with gravel drive... every room is set in deep luxury.
Staff on the ball, and fantastic at making sure the day is as magical as you'd hoped for.
