Steph & Murray's wedding at Dunglass

23rd September 2016
Awwww our last wedding of the year at Dunglass .... but we're back at the start of 2017.
This wedding though, was with the lovely Stephanie & Murray.
A bit of a difference today though... with both of them getting ready in the big house, so that added to the confusion & military style planning to keep our bride & groom apart whilst they both got ready.

Murray and the guys were really stringing it out, making Steph & the girls wait until the last minute before they could appear from the lower rooms and go up to get their dresses on.

The morning went by very peacefully, same as most wedding days... the girls not nervous at all really... until dress time, then it all starts to sink in :)
But it's good to be nervous on a wedding day as I think it shows how important the day is to everyone.
Once we did manage to kick Murray and his groomsmen out the house - which took some doing - as they loaded up on Port, Red Bull and Kit-Kats before strolling very slowly up the path to the marquee and church.

Now the girls could get ready and the final 30 minutes flew by. Before we knew it, it was ceremony time and Steph, dad & the bridesmaids were led very beautifully up to the church by a piper - who has played for Royalty I'll have you know !

It must have been strange for Steph to be standing there in front of her boss being married to Murray - Steph herself normally conducts ceremonies for her job.
It was all very sweet, and even had a wee bit of audience participation - which was really nice.

The afternoon then clocked by fairly fast and without a hitch, me and our Annie led our couple on a short walk around the grounds for a few photos for 20 minutes, then handed them over bang on time to the staff to announce the new Mr & Mrs White into the wedding breakfast.

The weather had behaved itself all afternoon, but it started to pour down at night, but really only after all the evening guests were in safely.
We'd had a few daft ideas of American football styled photos for afterwards but those were abandoned due to the now very wet conditions - but inside the marquee the party was in full swing and as I left just before 9pm the band were giving it laldy with some good ceilidh songs.

Another totally fabby Dunglass wedding, another totally fabby couple. I seem to keep saying this but we really do seem to attract good, fun & happy couples.

So here's the final Dunglass slideshow for 2016 from us.... but it's a good un !

The full Gallery of photos is now live and ready for everyone to view (and buy prints direct should you want to) at our proofing site here...

So here's to Steph & Murray... the new Mr & Mrs White x
