Stacy & Alan's wedding in Dunbar

19th August 2015
Back to my old church on Friday 14th... where I got married, by the same Rev 25 years ago.
This time though, it was the turn of the lovely Stacy and our handsome groom Alan.
The weather was ever so slightly drizzly, it has been since I blogged about how often we get sunshine weddings these days.
I take the blame.

Annie (daughter, assistant & carry bag person) and I met up with the girls at Dunbar's Dunmuir Hotel, and spend a short while there with them before shooting off to Belhaven Church.
It was still drizzly, so it was going to be a "plan-it-as-we-go" wedding. We always have Plan B and C ready. Sometimes even Plan D !
We shot all the family pictures inside the church then spent a few minutes alone with our newly weds. Their only chance of the day for a little solitude (barring of course us photographers), before being mobbed all day by family & friends.

Once done at the church we all met up again at The Dunmuir Hotel for a few more pics, then it was onto speeches & meal time.
This was my first wedding shoot in The Dunmuir - at least with the current owners... I last shot in there in the early 90's.
It just goes to show how little you can be in local venues if the diary takes you where it will.
The staff at The Dunmuir were excellent, ensuring everyone had a great time, and I from what I've been told David Currie (DJ) had the floor filled all night.
This was my first wedding of 4 in 7 days. So I've been burning the midnight oil to keep on top of the editing. It's always good fun shooting & editing when you've worked with a nice couple though.

Stacy & Alan make a great good-looking couple, and their kids Carli & Liam are two cool kidz.
So here's to our newly weds from this fabby wedding, the new Mr & Mrs Coates !

The slideshow of highlights is above ^^ and below a few more pics. The full portfolio is in our Gallery Section now. You'll need to get the password from Stacy & Alan to view them though. You can order copies direct from there too.

Let me know what you think about this wedding by leaving a wee comment below. Were you there ? What was the best bit for you ?

Photo comment By Karen Ritchie: Excellent work as usual ! My oldest son was the bestman soon you will have photographed all of the family at weddings lol x
Photo comment By alister koch: witnessed the church photoshoot and what impressed me about it is i have seen a few little hitlers at shoots barking out orders to everyone as if they should be the centre of attention instead of the young couple, you sir kept it informal and relaxed for those you were photographing in a very professional manner and the pics are brilliant
Photo comment By Grahame: Thanks folks. You're right Alister, it should always be about the couple. That's all that matters on the day.
