Soffia & Paul's wedding at Dunglass

22nd August 2016
Another wedding photography gig at Dunglass.
Can't complain, we love shooting weddings there, and we've been there a good few times this year.
Soffia & Paul's wedding this time though means we only have two more there this year.
But on with this wedding.
There's something about Dunglass, and being on site for everything that does really make the whole day laid back. Everyone is always chilled and in no stress or panic.
We were actually about 15 to 20 minutes late in starting the ceremony this time. Again nothing wrong there so long as no-one blames me :)
I'm always Mr Efficient. If a venue wedding manager wants the couple in at 4pm, they'll be there at 4pm. I always get things running to time.

I did have some ideas for some new shots for Dunglass if we had time, but because we had to play catch up, I didn't get to do some of them... maybe next time I'm there.
The day was still brill though.

Soffia was taking everything in her stride, and the only glitch from the girls camp - was from Soffia & Paul's baby girl Layla... I'm normally good with kids, but anytime Layla caught site of me she started crying... must be my new aftershave.

With the ceremony complete, we did our now usual Dunglass "newly-weds exit" where we set all the guests up in two lines with all the confetti, then bring the happy couple through all their guests. Into a circle... panoramic 360' photo... Bob's your uncle, and we let our lovely bride & groom have 10 minutes to chill as we snap away at the guests.
We did suffer a very slight delay when one person from almost every group photo we were asked to shoot went missing, quite a feat for Dunglass but it happened.

We eventually got to go for a quick walk with just our beautiful bride and our handsome groom, but as I mentioned earlier, we had to cut short our photos because of the delays.
All good though, and before too long we were getting through the speeches and then into the evening entertainment.

To make up for missed bride & groom photos in the afternoon, Paul had mentioned about putting the candles into the church, so while everyone was dancing away after the official first dances, I nipped out and set up the candles.

It made for a lovely finish to the photos of the day, and I then left Paul & Soffia to party on.

Another great party was in full swing as I headed off down the A1.

The full portfolio of photos - almost 500 - is now live at the site below...

You can view them all & order prints direct.

So huge thanx to Paul & Soffia for having us at your big day, it's been a pleasure getting to know everyone.

G.x

This wedding was shot on two Fujifilm X-Pro2's witrh 23mm and 56mm prime lenses, and second shooter with a Fujifilm X-T1 and 16-55mm lens.

Pano shots with ThetaS , and lighting outside and at dancing 3 speedlites fired manually. Light inside church with candlelights was the Lowel GL1.

Cameras were set to Fujifilm Classic Chrome film simulation to give us our favoured low saturation, slightly muted effect we like.
