Photo a day - week 4

28th January 2013
Almost getting the hang of remembering to take shots specifically for this project now, and jings, almost February already !

This weeks photos are heavily influenced by weather again, such is the joy of living in the UK I suppose, when it's all we talk about. I reckon 80% of people I meet on a daily basis will mention the weather at some point... "Oooo it's cold" , "But at least it's not windy ..." etc etc

I'm starting to learn the quirks of the Fuji compact, and I reckon with it's small size... street photography is something I'll have to give a whirl to soon.

Anyways... here's this weeks collection, and an explanation of sorts :)

This lovely & obviously loyal dog was waiting outside Turnbull's for it's owner to return... but those welcoming eyes made me have to take a pic of the pooch.

On the way back from a wedding recce at Garleton House (couldn't get up because of the snow) and every junction had something quite pretty to see... this shot could almost be black and white if not for the rust on the sign post.

Sitting in the car waiting on the windscreen clearing - no de-icer left. Ali was the one that noticed the purdy patterns first, "get yer camera out for that..."

And when we don't get snow, we get freezing rain that cuts through you like a laser.... brrr....

Another snowy pic, this time from Vogrie Country Park , while I was waiting on a couple to do their pre-wedding shoot. I was going to use a picture of Emma & Gary here that I took with the compact, but they have a blog all to themselves already :)

This time, a walk in the rain around Cromwell Harbour, while waiting on studio clients to arrive.
The dull skies & wet ground giving off all kinds of colour casts.

This chap can be heard on Dunbar High Street every few days. Much like Beyonce, as you never know if he's playing live. He'll sometimes stop, and his CD is still playing in the background... reminds me of Vic Reeves doing that kinda stunt :)

Photo comment By Nancy: Grahame - would you please stop taking such wonderful pics that I always fall in love with???? I adore the one of the freezing rain on High St. with the lights glistening on the rain soaked pavement. Wish I could be back on High St strolling about (but not in the freezing rain!) I will probably be emailing you re buying a copy of it. Love to your family, Nancy in FL/USA
