Night Landscape Photography

Never a dull moment here, in fact when it's very dull... even pitch black night... it's even better.
I've spent most nights when we have a good moon, and cloudless skies shooting some moonlit night scenes. It's all part of a bigger project, but seeing as I have January to cram in as many personal projects while dealing with 2015 wedding enquiries... this one has kept me intrigued at night.

My plan here is to have a set of landscape images that almost look like standard shots, but lit wholly by moonlight. It's good fun.
I'm almost settled in the overall look I'm after from these shoots, there's still a few too many different tests going on here, but a theme is developing.

Lonely, scary at times and cold... but good fun.
More to follow on this one over the next 2 weeks... watch this space as they say.

Ah... a night with so much promise, full moon started rising over the sea at 5:15pm on Thursday... got 10 minutes, and just as it was getting nice and bright... the west coast sent their clouds over.
Maybe tomorrow night ?
Here's some of them from the cloudy night...

All shot from the beach at Seacliff.

Photo comment By Annette: Lovely photographs, I especially like the ones of the church
Photo comment By Nancy: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these night shots. Remarkable ones of the church and of the stars! I would love to see more of you creeping about the church graveyard - all shadows and wee beasties in the night.
Photo comment By Grahame: Thanks you both. x
