Louise & Calum's wedding in Musselburgh

23rd April 2015
A cracking spring day and another bonny couple ! What's not to love ?!

The venue for the ceremony for Louise & Calum's wedding was the gorgeous Loretto Chapel in the grounds of the school in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
It's another one of those places that I've drove past on many occasions, but never been in.. in fact , I didn't even know it was there if truth be told.

But before all that, we met up with the girls in Prestonpans. Everyone was fairly calm, the usual wedding dresses, flowers and cards were accompanied by several balloons & cards for Louise's birthday. Getting married on her 40th. Now that's a good way to make a day special !
We stayed with the girls as long as we could before having to shoot along to the chapel to meet up with the guys & prepare for the ceremony.

In no time at all, everyone was seated and Louise was walked down the aisle by her dad and the main event was underway.
A lovely, but still light hearted ceremony was preformed by the Rev Suzie Fletcher. Calum & Louise both taking in every moment as they tied the knot.

After the ceremony, and a big group shot outside we decided to do the family shots in front of the big stained glass windows inside (photographers nightmare lol). Then we whisked the guests away to Eskmills while we let the newly weds spend some time together alone. Well alone with us taking their photo.
I love this part of the day - going from all the noise & excitement & nerves for the couple then calm.
A nice 15 minutes of relax, cuddle and catch your breath before it all goes mad again !

Once we were all done and cuddled - we all met up again at Eskmills in Musselburgh where we had a selection of speeches, a balloon release for lost friends & relatives then cake cutting & dancing.

Such was the speed of the ... eh... merriment , there were lots of folk up dancing their shoes off before the night actually got under way. Proseco & DJ David Currie have a lot to answer for :)

The night rolled in so I grabbed our happy, gorgeous couple back outside for one last 5 minute session before we headed off back to the office to start backing up all the photos.

So - here's to the new Mr & Mrs Smith... wishing you all the best xxx.

A selection of the photos are below - and the full portfolio is in our gallery now - but you'll need a password from Louise/Calum to access it.
There you can view the full portfolio and order prints to your hearts content !

Hope you all like the slideshow above too.
