Linsey & John's wedding at The Dunmuir Hotel

09th October 2015
A local wedding ! Not often I get to stay in my home town for a wedding these days, but today - apart from the short prep section near Innerwick with Linsey & the girls - we were based just down the road from the house.
I need to buy Annie a big back-pack so we can walk it - with her carrying all the gear of course - that's what assistants do.
So the prep in the morning was your average calm one minute, high stress the next, then back to calm. Sometimes the mornings can just get taken away from underneath you, and before we knew it we had to get Linsey into her wedding dress so we could get some bridal shots before I met up with Annie who was scouting the hotel.
Linsey, in some gorgeous October sunshine looked equally lovely, we got the shots and I scarpered off to The Dunmuir Hotel where the guys were, being looked after by Phil & Lesley.

We made some last minute tweaks to our days workflow, deciding to do the family photos after a trip to the harbour, instead of the family photos first.
This made sure we caught the best of the sunshine, then Phil at the hotel could see we were all back on site and ready for the wedding breakfast.
It was good we did it this way , as some of the family pics took a while to find people and the photo list changed a few times. Doesn't matter how often you go over the details - wedding days change on the spur of the moment, and you just have to go with the flow.

The ceremony was as lovely as ever when it is led by our good friend Rev Twaddle - you remember him - he was the chap who married myself & Ali 25 years ago.
Always nice to catch up with him.

So we got some gorgeous photos down at Dunbar harbour, before returning to the hotel. Once there and the family/formal photos were taken care of, we squeezed out as many pretty shots as time would allow of John & Linsey around the hotel.
We see this as part of our job, to give the couple the best shots possible at their chosen venue, and we can let the venue show off it's best spots.
There's no doubt we'd have liked a bit more time, but that's out of our hands come 4:30pm.
Still, we're happy with what we achieved, and it seems everyone had a great time.

So , the highlights slideshow is above, and the full portfolio is in our Gallery Section.
To view the full set of photos, you'll need to get the password from Linsey & John. They should be able to do that from their honeymoon if they're not too busy ;)
To keep you going though, there's a few sneak peeks below.

If you were at the wedding, or if you just like the looks of our photos, please leave a comment below, let us know what you think.

And here's to Linsey & John, a great fun couple that we had a ball with.
