Lindsey & James's wedding at Dunglass

19th August 2016
Well that was a lovely musical wedding !
I had known that there were singers of various variety coming to this wedding, but didn't expect the ceremony & speeches to be quite as good as that.

It was a nice, pleasant day when myself and sidekick Annie rolled up , being dropped off by Ali who was using the car to go down to our new studio to do some painting.
Once the gear was dropped off in the marquee we popped over to see the girls before starting our snapping.

The first musical surprise came as Lindsey was walking down the aisle to a version of The Proclaimers "500 Miles". There's a snippet of the end in the slideshow below, needless to say it did indeed deserve the round of applause it received.

The ceremony was led by an old friend, retired minister Howard Haslett who we found out through chatting - we'd worked together many, many years ago.
There was a comical moment at the end of the ceremony when James leaned in to kiss his new wife and Howard intervened with stern but humorous authority, stating that in Scotland "you may now kiss the bride" isn't a standard line to expect... but he let it go, and James did indeed get his kiss :)

We had our usual "bring the couple through the confetti" line up then after a few minutes Prosecco time, we ran through a short family photo list, before we took our newly weds on a 20 minute photo walk.

Once back in the marquee we ran right into the speeches, and this is where we were met with the next lovely surprise singing section, with Best Man Elliot finishing on a song, being joined in by a few guests/singers - then finally James himself had the closing lines.
Again, there's a snippet of that in the slideshow too.

So another fine Dunglass wedding.
We'd like to thank the new Mr & Mrs Lancaster for having us at their big day.
If you would like to be notified when all the photos are ready for viewing, you can register on James & Lindsey's Gallery page here...

The full portfolio of over 400 photos will be on there as soon as James & Lindsey have viewed them themselves.

In the meantime... enjoy the slideshow below, and out fun 360' shot of all the guests...

This wedding was shot on two Fujifilm X-Pro2 cameras with prime 23 & 56mm lenses, and Annie (assistant) with Fujifilm X-T1 with 16-55mm lens.
Outside drama lighting was with the Lencarta Atom 360.
Pano shot with a Ricoh ThetaS.

We shoot with our own version of Fuji's Classic Chrome film simulation for a slightly muted colour look which we like.
