Leanne & John pws at Melville Castle

10th April 2015
Ah... it's good to be back in the real beginnings of wedding season again, with pre-wedding shoots and weddings rolling in fast.

Leanne & John's pre shoot was a bit of an all-in-one meet/greet/pick-a-package/pre-shoot in the one session. Nothing wrong with that, but with being (for us) a very late booking (the wedding is this June) we agreed to meet up for a chat, have a look at albums, pick a package, and do a small pre-shoot in the one easy session.

Worked well meeting at Melville Castle too - where the wedding will be based after the church ceremony - as Mrs S had been nipping my head to go to Dobbies, so she got dropped off there on my way to Melville Castle, I didn't even slow down the car , just hoyed her out on the way to meet this lovely couple.
(ok , not really...although I'm pretty sure the car was still moving as she jumped out and I went off to do what I enjoy).

So , Leanne & John arrived just after me, looking a wee bit nervous - but as I always say - that's the main reason we do these shoots/chats. Get a bit more comfortable with each other.
I get to learn about the couple, how do they stand together, do they blink a lot, are they afraid of horses :)

We went for a quick walk around the outside of the grounds before having a quick look inside to give me an idea of what a fantastic venue this is going to be for them. Can't believe I've never shot a wedding there before, it's gorgeous.

So here's a sample of what we did on the day, breaking my own un-written rule about doing pre-shoots in mono, as there was a lovely golden tinge to the sunlight. Would be a shame not to show that.

And here's to what I'm sure will be a great wedding this June.
