Laura & Darren's wedding at Balbirnie House

04th June 2014
Balbirnie House - another gorgeous location. I really am being spoiled just now :)

Laura & Darren chose the location well, and I met up with them early on the day of the wedding. The guys were chilling outside in the sunshine, while the girls were going through the ritual of hair and make up upstairs in their suite.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and it had been decided to have the ceremony outside. It's one of those locations where, had we have had to use Plan B , C or even D for photos - we wouldn't have been stuck as inside and outside, the venue oozes quality & beauty.

Once the ceremony was about to start, Darren & their son James were up at the front... watching in anticipation as the flower girls, then the bridesmaids... then Laura and her dad stepped out and up the centre aisle.
It was a really easy & loving ceremony, and once it was all official, we herded the 150 guests to the front steps for a big group picture.

A few small group shots later, and after a comfort (beer) break, I took the newly weds for a 15 minute walk around the grounds... away from all the noise to get a few candid shots of the new Mr & Mrs Wraight.

Afternoon, turned to evening... everyone was "gonged" into the Ballroom for dinner, then the evening kicked in with a step up in the fun.

Another really fun couple and equally as entertaining friends around them. It was about a 16 hour gig this one for me , and up the next morning at 3am to star the editing, but when you get nice couples & families like this, it's well worth it.

*The full portfolio is live in our Gallery section now. Password is with Laura & Darren.

In the meantime.... here's a wee sample to keep you going :)

*PS , please leave a comment , let Laura, Darren & myself know what you thought of their big day , and what you think of the photos.
