Kirtsy & Peter's wedding

02nd July 2014
Kirsty & Peter's wedding at St John's Church in Portobello , then Carberry Tower.

This was a slightly different day for me compared to an average short wedding photography assignment.
All the guests from the church and all the wedding party were going to the reception venue (Carberry Tower) together in a red double decker vintage bus.

Normally the bride & groom would have their own car and make their own way there... me having taken some photos of the happy couple when everyone was away.

So the plan was... early in the morning, I'd park up at Carberry where the girls were staying the night before... get all the prep shots, then get a taxi down to Portobello for the ceremony, and I'd come back up with everyone on the bus, get a few shots there too.

Plan worked a treat.

I also correctly assumed that all the guests would take a good few minutes to file onto the bus, so I whisked Peter & Kirsty back into the church for a couple of photos back up at the altar.

Then a trip through Musselburgh and up to Carberry Tower - for my last time this year. Aaawwwwww. Been there a good few times this year, but that's me now , onto other venues for the rest of the season.

So once we let everyone get a glass of bubbly, we cracked on with a short list of family photos, before I took Kirsty & Peter away for a short wander around the grounds.

That led us up nicely to some chill time before they were called into dinner & speeches.

There were a few more shots I wanted, so I decided to hang around and ninja style kidnap the whole wedding party as soon as they'd finished their after dinner coffees.

Shots in the bag and the end of another successful day.
Kirsty & Peter are a great couple with 2 lovely wee daughters, and it was a joy to work with them.

Here's a sample of the photos, and the full portfolio is available to view in our Gallery section now, you will need to get the password from K&P :)
