Kim & Callum's wedding at Dunglass

07th September 2015
This wedding at Dunglass was always going to be an interesting one.
Kim from Australia, marrying Callum from Dunbar.
We did Callum's brother's wedding last year (almost exactly a year - Amy & Greg) and as well as that we know most of the family so it was a very familiar group from the Scotland side of things.

Kim & Callum live in Australia now, so they jetted over to Bonny Scotland for the wedding, which meant a quick pre-shoot & catch up 2 days before the wedding to nail down the timings for the day.
There was a lot happening during the course of the day, so it took a little extra planning and logistics scribbling.
All good though.

I arrived as early as ever to set up and prepare before hassling the Kim, the her family & the rest of the girls. The day flowed very much to plan though.
We soon had all the bridal pics done, then shot over to meet up with the lads at the church.

I've mentioned many times in the past how great a venue Dunglass is, and I made a point of trying a few new shots out to stretch myself from the usual pictures we do there.
Tried new lighting tech during the ceremony, and the planning all paid of as we got some pretty neat shots.

We were led through a lovely ceremony by Rev Suzie Fletcher, I've been at weddings a few times with Suzie recently, and she always knows how to stir up a good wedding.

Day turned to evening, and a lot of speeches from happy family & guests. Best man Fraser's was very ad-lib as emotions got a bit high.... but it was nice. It's more meaningful like that than just a Google script :~)

The ever popular & entertaining Bleaker were the band for the night, and they were brill as usual. Everyone had a blast. You can see from all the photos (you'll see them all soon enough) that right up to the last moment everyone was in really high spirits.

In a flash it was after 9pm so we went out into the now quickly darkening night to try some sparkler shots. It was just a bit too windy to spend too long doing this... the Aussies not used to our average September temp :)

A great day out. A long shift, but I don't mind if the wedding is worth it, and as usual it was. I'm very fortunate to get good couples & crowds.

So , the slideshow is up there ^^ , and the full portfolio is in our Gallery Section now. You'll need to get the password from Kim & Callum to view them all - and you can even click very easily to buy prints.

If you were at the wedding, please leave a small comment below to tell the world what you thought of this great day. Or if you're just looking in, let us know what you think of our work.
