Kerry & John's wedding, Rosewell & Peebles

28th May 2014
This was a surprisingly cold and windy day for the end of May... so a lot of Plan B's and C's were called into action...
But the day was still very good , and it all started with some prep shots in Newtongrange.
After spending some time with Kerry there, I set up camp at St Matthew's Church in Rosewell , in preparation for the ceremony.
It's a lovely brick church with strong family connections for John & Kerry.

I always try to get the formal photos taken straight after the ceremony, so the rest of the day is pressure free for more relaxed pictures, but with being so chilly, we all made a decision to just get a big shot... then ship the guests off to the reception at The Cardrona Hotel in Peebles... while I spent 10 minutes alone with the bride & groom back inside the church.

We grabbed a few lovely photos then set off ourselves, to catch up with the rest of the guests, and did our damnedest to get the family groups into a small room and taken care off. It worked to an extent :)

Still, the day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone with a great crowd around John & Kerry , making sure there was never a dull moment.

It's probably the first time in a year or two that I've not managed to coax the bride & groom outside for a few last photos before I left at night... but it was just not nice at all outside !

Still... here's a sample of the pics... and they are still jolly nice.
The full portfolio will be available to view in the Gallery Section, if you can coax the password from Kerry & John :)

PS , well done to the best men for using one of my favourite gags (the keys) during their speech... I see and hear all the usual jokes, but this one is always a hoot :)
