Karen & William's wedding at Dunglass

07th May 2017
It's no secret that we shoot wedding photography at Dunglass Estate a LOT , and we love it there. Eve though we shoot there many times a year, we come away from every wedding with something different, such is the scope of this marvellous wedding venue.

Karen had opted though to have all her prep done at her parent's house in North Berwick, so between them and me , we'd worked out the best plan for the day was me to just start at North Berwick, catching up with the guys when I got to Dunglass.

But me being me, in the morning I was too keen to get going so I set off 90 minutes early so I could have a walk around Dunglass and get a feel for the grounds, the weather, what flowers were out etc, so I could plan photos for later.
This is just how I like to do it.
But it paid off, as later on in the day, we got a section of beautiful photos that some people might not even recognise were taken at Dunglass.

But back in North Berwick, the usual calmness was slowly being turned into nervous excitement as it came closer to wedding dress time.
The girls were a wee bit late in getting ready, meaning I had to high tail it across the county to pick up my wonderful wee assistant Annie before we shot off down the A1 to try grab a few groomsmen photos before the ceremony...

... and we managed fine... of course, we're pros !
A sweet Humanist ceremony later (by Ken McMillan), Karen & William were now a married couple.
I set up my usual confetti parade with the guests before announcing the bride & groom in... then after we let everyone have champers and kisses 'n cuddles we got on with our small, tidy but effective photo blocks.

We always do the 'official photos' in bite size chunks so the couple, and the guests are interacting all day.
The photos we got from Karen & Will were lovely, and we soon got them back to the marquee where they were ushered in as the new Mr & Mrs Asher to all their guests.

Dinner turned to wine, wine turned to cake cutting, a marvellous band (The Jets) were all sound checked up - and the party started.

A marvellous day at a marvellous venue with a very sincere and beautiful couple.

The slideshow highlights is above, and the full Gallery of photos is linked below, where you can browse through the full portfolio and even purchase copies direct, this helps keep Annie's iPhone in credit so every bit helps ;)

So here's to Karen & WIlliam... the new Mr & Mrs Asher !
