February prizes for Doll photo & Street Art Fair

10th March 2015
Following on from the success that came from the photo of the Lambretta scooter, one of my pics from the series "Dolls Hospital" won second place in the UK "Urban Decay" competition, and also a Silver and Judges Commended with the IPPN.

Hitting a good wee run just now and enjoying every minute.

The doll picture was from a series shot as part of a fun project... the video of which is below (so long as your not scared of creepy dolls).
It was all just a bit of fun, playing on the strengths of the location.
I do these things as a way of testing lighting & processing techniques.
For all they look odd and unrelated to my normal work, it's amazing what you can learn from a shoot like that - that can be used on a wedding day.
Especially lighting subjects in dark rooms and the likes.

Currently working on a whole new project that will be officially launched during Dunbar's Street Art Fair on the 18th April.
I won't be there in person as I'll be at Louise & Calum's wedding.
But we'll have a good set of our new project on display in 2 or 3 of our shop windows.
Details of the Street Art Fair can be found here... https://www.facebook.com/events/360948197434454/
