Eveline & Gavin's wedding at Carberry Tower

27th August 2015
Carberry Tower, a hot spot for us un recent years - and the second visit there in 3 days for the wedding of Gavin & Eveline.
This was a very small and intimate wedding. Very calm and quiet and with just immediate family around.

As usual I arrived early to check out the grounds, weather, how the rooms were set up and prepare for the day. I called in on Eveline & daughter Jenna to say my good mornings.
I should point out that Eveline is Dutch, and mum and dad were with her, but at times my very fast very deep voice needed translating... even my own wife can't understand me sometimes mind lol.

But doing wedding photography is a thrill. Every single wedding is different, and to think I was at this same venue 2 days before with around 150 guests, and a room full of excited bridesmaids, then today quietly sitting with Eveline as she had her hair done. Mum and dad looking on and Jenna fast asleep.
So peaceful and relaxing. Don't get me wrong, our lovely bride-to-be still showed she was slightly nervous as she waited for 3pm to come.
Maybe having a very peaceful and quiet prep room made the time seem more anxious and pass slower, as there's usually all kinds of screaming, music, dancing, laughing... but today just calm.

When it got closer to 3pm, Gavin arrived and we took a few shots of our Groom, before I brought daughter Jenna down to see him. The rest of the family arrived and the rooms were readied for the ceremony and drink reception.
Before long we were all waiting on bride and dad coming into the room, I watched from the front as both mums realised they could see the open door behind them in the large mirror, and they both lit up huge smiles as Eveline approached the door way.

Once we were all married up... we went outside for a few family pictures before just chilling around upstairs. Now and again , grabbing other family group shots, before the wedding party made their way through for dinner and the end of a lovely relaxed wedding.

The slideshow is above ^ and I hope you like that, and some other sample pics are below, while we finish off the full portfolio that will be in our Gallery Section soon.

In the meantime, big hugs to Eveline, Gavin and Jenna for having me at their big day.
