Erica & Peter's wedding at Harvest Moon

02nd July 2015
Our last wedding of May was at Harvest Moon, and the last wedding of June was at Harvest Moon too... this time with Erica & Peter.
It was another wonderful day - sunshine when we needed it, and just a few seconds of rain to keep the sand in place for the beach ceremony.

Wedding photography is all about being able to work with any situation, or changes to plans and get the same good results.
After meeting up at one end of the site with Peter, we drove up to the Treehouses to see the girls. Erica and her sisters & mum were busy doing make up, finishing bouquets and drinking the odd small glass of the good stuff.
Erica, being of young age and fit - had decided to walk from the Treehouse section to her wedding on the beach by the Tent section - the best part of half an hour - so with that in mind we had to adjust plans knowing we'd be away from the guys and the ceremony site for the hour leading up to the ceremony starting - allowing us to get some nice bridal pics, then come along the road with the girls.

I'm not young and fit like Erica though, so I took the car, stopping twice to get some photos.

So once we were all gathered up at the dunes, just over the brow of the hill, and out of site from the wedding guests - like a small army about to launch an attack on an enemy camped by the sea - we all set off marching on towards the wedding. I had to run the last 100 yards or so to get ahead of the girls and have photos of them arriving.
How I'm not slim - I don't know !

The ceremony - led by Humanist Fiona Thomas, was lovely. Very personal and emotional, with a reading and a song.
We then had a very improvised schedule signing before we then went back to the dunes for a couple of big group photos.

This really was a relaxed wedding - just how Peter & Erica wanted it. We stayed around to take in some of the atmos, staying a bit longer than normal to try capture the feel of the day before everyone sat down for a buffet style dinner in the tee-pees.

So another fabulous outdoor wedding. I really do need to start charging for all this sunshine I bring along to these days !

Here's a sample of the photos, the full portfolio is now in our Gallery Section. You'll be able to get the password from Erica & Peter once they've seen them all.
Hope you enjoy the slideshow above too.
