Emma & Gary's wedding in Edinburgh

06th April 2013
I was treated to a ride through Edinburgh in the wedding car for this shout, as it was the only sane way to get me and my gear to all the different spots around Edinburgh and in time.
Emma & Gary's wedding was always going to be a great day. We'd met up on the Thursday for a family portrait in the studio , and we finalised all our plans.
The bridal prep was at The Grosvenor Hilton in Edinburgh's west end, the the ceremony at Lothian Chambers, bride & groom photos at Holyrood Palace where Emma & Gary used to both work, then back to The Grosvenor for the family & group photos.

We were blessed with a fairly nice day considering how long this winter has been hanging around, and a few breaks in the tourists at the Palace gave us a few shots with no onlookers in them, nice :)

Wedding Photography in Edinburgh's Lothian Chambers is always a double edged sword, with the venue boasting gorgeous architecture, the chance to stroll up and down Edinburgh's Royal Mile for some groovy wedding photographs, but you have to put up with a LOT of tourists. At one point during Emma & Gary's photos we had to shoo away a couple of Japanese fellows who had walked in amongst all the kilties to get in the photos. All in good fun, but no-one wants complete strangers in their wedding pics :)

Holyrood Palace too for wedding photos, exact same, beautiful location, but we were very lucky this day to get a good few breaks with no-one in shot except our lovely bride & groom and the Bentley.

So here's to Emma & Gary - the new Mr & Mrs Henderson !
