Deborah & Barry's wedding at Dunglass

25th July 2014
I apologise once again for the basic edits and late news of this wedding too... but this is the 2nd wedding photography gig that is "affected" by my 1st 2 week break since the 80's.

Ok enough of the sympathy searching ha ha ha.

Deborah & Barry had planned a less formal, but still gorgeous wedding at the fabulous Dunglass Estate.
I arrived on site early on and set up my weather station to monitor the weather forecaster's promise of thundery storms all afternoon.

A few words with the wedding weather gods and I felt a bit easier.

The day did indeed pass off fairly well, a small shower early on during prep, but the girls were in the big house getting ready, so the only one that got even slightly damp was me nipping back to the car for more gear.

The ceremony, when it arrived, was lovely, made even more special with the fact that it was Barry's sister Sheila that performed it.
The whole day was like that, all very close & loving.
The mic packed in during Barry's speech, so he got up and walked about doing his thankyous and the likes, in amongst the guests.
Very impromptu - but very nice.

We got all the formal photos taken care of before dinner, but my prayers to the powers that be were only for an extension to the good weather, and our evening session walk about photos were cut short by some rain.

We still got some extra shots back inside the church before we got ready for the 1st dance to the excellent band... (from memory as notes are at home, and I'm at sea) they were called The Cartel.
If this is wrong, when I get back home I'll edit this so there is no proof of my poor memory :)

I hung on as long as I could, coaxing Deborah & Barry outside once more when the rain stopped - for a few shots I'd wanted earlier - before skipping off knowing I was catching a plane a few hours later.

All in all , another great day.

The full portfolio is in our Gallery Section now, friends & family can view & order copies if they get the top secret password from Deborah & Barry.
