Cathryn & Matthew's wedding in Edinburgh

23rd October 2013
Another great day out in Edinburgh shooting wedding photography.
Cathryn & Matthew had a right good fun pre-wedding shoot, and the laughter & love continued into the wedding.
The ceremony took place in the lovely surroundings of Duddingston in the ancient Kirk there. It was my first time in Duddingston Kirk since the early 1990's when I did a wedding video there.

I'd met up with the girls at Cathryn's mum & dad's before hooking up with the guys for a fun 20 minutes in the nearby pub - The Sheep Heid Inn.

Then, across the road in the rain to the Kirk. The guests arriving got a wee bit wet, but the weather had turned for the best again for when the bride & dad arrived - so this year's 100% dry wedding record still stands :) In fact the sun was giving good licks for some of the bride & groom shots a little later.

After those - we headed along to Waterloo Place to Howies's, where the staff there had turned their restaurant into a fabulous reception venue.

A great day out as I said, and I found out as well that I'd been renamed "G-Snaps" by the gang. I'm fine with that, been called many a worse thing than that in my time :)

So here's a selection of the photos, full portfolio available in the gallery section for friends & family who can tickle the password out of the bride & groom.
Enjoy the highlights slideshow above too.
