Ashley & Lee's wedding at Carberry Tower

19th June 2014
Ahhh... a grand Scottish weather day for a wedding at Carberry Tower near Musselburgh in East Lothian.
The days leading up to the wedding day were very wet, with typical Scottish monsoon summer, but, as I had promised Ashley & Lee on the day of the wedding it was gorgeous... well, maybe actually too hot !

I arrived early morning for a scout around the grounds. The grass was around the grounds was very wet, but with the sun starting to heat things up I reckoned it would dry up ok.

I reported in to Ashley & the other girls and let the day commence.

Relaxed hair & make-up sessions soon turned to more excited dressing up in all the gorgeous gowns, more champagne corks popped and meanwhile downstairs the guys arrived ... nervously checking rings & paperwork.

Pretty soon everyone was ushered into Carberry's Ceilidh Hall for the ceremony... Lee and his two best men patiently waiting for the bridal party to arrive.
That first look when the groom quickly sees his bride for the first time is always amazing, Lee turning back around with a huge smile on his face as Ashley was calmly walked down the aisle by her dad.

One loving ceremony later, and we were outside rounding up wayward uncles & aunties for some formal pictures, before taking the new Mr & Mrs Marr for a quiet stroll around the grounds... getting the first official photos of the newly weds, and letting them chat in peace for a wee while.

We got everyone inside for dinner, then before you know it there was the cake cutting & dancing.
A great day out once again, and another lovely couple.

So here's some samples of the pictures just now. The full portfolio is in our Gallery section now. Friends & family can get the password from Ashley & Lee to view the set of photos (and there's a lot!).

Remember to check out the slideshow above too :) ^^^^
