Ashleigh & Ryan's wedding in Dunbar

29th August 2017
A wedding in Dunbar... I can't get more local than that... I spend most of my weekends (and some mid-weeks) all over Scotland - and mainland Europe so it's nice to be back on home turf now and again.

Ashleigh & Ryan's wedding was a kind of close friend/family shoot, but I'll be honest with you, it's not my normal kind of client.
Don't get me wrong Ashleigh & Ryan are a fine, fun couple, but the photography they wanted isn't in my book of "how I do it" , I turn down any weddings that are this style. But seeing as Ashleigh's family are friends... we did it.

And again , there's nothing wrong with how they wanted their wedding to run, and it was actually really good fun doing it, but it's not what I set out to do.

But anyhoos , like I say it was a good laugh. It was a (now typical) UK August day, sunny one minute... and absolutely chucking it down the next.
But as per my contract, it cleared up for when we wanted to go out to do some photos.
This is where our newly weds photo list came into play... as I'd call it ... the cheese list :)

No sooner had we got through the list - we made our way back to the hotel where Phil & Lesley were waiting to start the afternoon festivities.

I left as the very relaxed speeches were taking place and headed off to the studio to stay ahead of all the wedding work and prepare for the following day's wedding.

So here's to Ryan & Ashleigh and their life together as McAulays !

Here's the slideshow, and below that is the link to take you to the full Gallery of photos.
