Alicia & James's wedding at Carberry Tower

26th August 2015
Alicia & James were a couple I met for the first time properly at the pre-wedding shoot, and I knew straight away the wedding was going to be great. When I say that, I almost mean from a selfish point of view - that the photography will be good fun and exciting to shoot.
We talked about stuff we might do on the big day, while having a laugh under the Forth Bridge.
Don't get me wrong, I love every wedding I shoot, but some couples just want to get on with the day, and the photography is just part of it. I'm fine with that and will always shoot to the best of my abilities and conditions.
But some couples will say "yeah, whatever you think let's do it".

It was good that Alicia & James were like that as they had it tougher than some couples do... keeping their 3 lovely children entertained and happy throughout the day while still getting on with the marriage and all it throws at you... and there was the weather.

Yeah, ever since I blogged about guaranteed sunshine weddings I've been slapped about by mother nature a few times. This day was one of the longest rain/drizzle spells I've been involved with so almost every single photo was shot inside. Only a few set up shots and 2 or 3 before I left at about 9pm were outside.

But did it spoil our day ? Did it heck.
We got some amazing shots. Carberry Tower lends itself beautifully to inside shooting with it's many rooms and public areas, and I was prepared.

So throughout the day Alicia looked gorgeous, and James struck a few crackin' model poses himself. Not many grooms are happy to be the centre of attention, and I picked on James a wee bit, but it was worth it.

This was wedding 3 out of 4 in 7 days, a real crazy busy spell but still as enjoyable as ever.

The slideshow of highlights is here for you to get a sample of the day, and a few more pics below.

The full portfolio of over 400 photos is in our Gallery Section now. You'll need to get the password from Alicia & James to view them (and you can even buy prints direct from there once they are live).
Watch out for number 298 (shown below), it was taken by the up and coming photographer Ethan, and I promised him if anyone buys a small print of it, the cash will be his pocket money.

So here's to the new Mr & Mrs Clark !

Thanks for having me at your big day.
